DATA STORAGE FACILITIES
Security of your valuable data - after it has been backed up - is of paramount importance. For this reason, we have contracted with Compellent, a leading provider of enterprise-class network storage solutions, to provide our storage platform. Internet bandwidth is provided via redundant Gigabit ethernet adapters with an uplink to multiple Tier-1 Internet backbone providers. All network traffic is secured by a commercial grade firewall. Offsite SAN uses highly-reliable HP/Compaq servers with multiple fiber-attached RAID-5 storage arrays. Each array provides approximately 10 Terrabytes (TB) of high-speed disk storage - enough to support 100s of clients. For added reliability, standard RAID-5 fault tolerance (parity data) is augmented with a hot-standby spare drives which automatically activate should any physical disk failure be detected. All disk drives are continuously monitored using predictive failure technology. Bottom line: if you ever need to retrieve your data - it will be there. Safe and sound! |
